Wells Fargo Insurance Names New Bay Area Practice Leaders [Manufacturing Close – Up]

Wells Fargo Insurance, part of Wells Fargo & Company, has named Frank Ross, Rod Okimoto and Shalini Ati as head of its Life Sciences, International and Semiconductor insurance practices, respectively.

According to a release, Wells Fargo'sBay Area Insurance team is focused on growing the company's property and casualty, employee benefits and private risk management services in the market. With five offices and approximately 285 team members, the team serves the insurance needs of Wells Fargo's existing business banking, middle market, large corporate, and high net worth customers.

"Wells Fargo Insurance is one of the largest insurance brokers in the Bay Area, and we will continue to promote the best professionals in the business to bring excellent service to our clients and serve all of their insurance needs," said Bob Volkel, head of Bay Area Operations. "These appointments also support our goals to enhance our industry expertise, expand customer reach, and drive long term growth."

Frank Ross will now lead the region's Life Sciences Practice group, managing life science growth initiatives, technical support, risk identification and assessment, and claims management services. The Life Sciences Practice group is a national practice dedicated to managing specialized insurance products specific to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Based in San Francisco, Ross reports to Roland Graham-Helwig, head of the Bay Area Risk Management group. He joined Wells Fargo in 2003 as head of Wells Fargo Insurance Services Technology Practice group.

Rod Okimoto will now serve as the Semiconductor Practice Leader for the region, overseeing Bay Area-based global technology companies. The Semiconductor Practice group provides risk management insurance solutions for the manufacturing industry. Okimoto is based in San Carlos, and also reports to Graham-Helwig. He joined Wells Fargo in 2011 as part of the Technology Practices team.

Shalini Ati will lead the International Practice team, responsible for supporting Wells Fargo's multinational clients in the Northwest Region, including the Bay Area. Based in San Carlos, Ati joined Wells Fargo is 2011 and reports to Celine Hannon, commercial lines manager.
