Veteran Government Relations Executive David Hebert Launches The DEH Group Former U.S. Congressman George Radanovich Serves as Firm’s Senior Advisor

Following more than 25 years working on health care and other public policy issues in the public and private sectors, David Hebert today announced the formation of The DEH Group, LLC, a strategic government relations firm based in Alexandria, Virginia. Former U.S. Congressman George Radanovich (R-CA) serves as senior advisor to the firm, which offers a full range of government relations services to assist clients achieve their public policy objectives.

Hebert was chief of staff to then-U.S. Congressman Blunt during 2003-2004 when he served as House Majority Whip, the third-ranking Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives. After leaving Capitol Hill, Hebert was Counsel at Alston & Bird, LLP during 2004-2006, where he focused on legislative and regulatory health care issues. Most recently, Hebert served for five years as Senior Vice President for Policy and Government Relations for the American Health Care Association (AHCA).

Prior to his work on Capitol Hill, Hebert was Director of Federal Government Affairs for the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists</org> (AANA) during 1995-2003 and Counsel, Government Affairs for the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) during 1988-1994. His previous experience includes work as a Legislative Director for former U.S. Congressman Jack Buechner (R-MO). Hebert holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and earned his juris doctorate from Pepperdine University in 1982.

Former U.S. Congressman Radanovich, who represented California’s 19th District for eight terms in the House of Representatives, will serve as The DEH Group’s senior advisor.

During his years in Congress, Radanovich served on the Energy and Commerce Committee and was ranking member of its Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection. He also sat on the Committee’s Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet, and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation. Prior to that, Radanovich served on the Budget Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee and the Resources Committee, serving as Chairman of the Resources Subcommittee on Water and Power and the Subcommittee on National Parks.

Following his retirement from Congress in 2010, Radanovich returned to his hometown of Mariposa, California, where he is rebuilding the family vineyard.
