United Concordia Dental Offers Individual Product Line
2010 JAN 18 - (NewsRx.com) -- Consumers living in Arizona, California, Florida, Pennsylvania and Texas can now purchase individual dental insurance from United Concordia Dental, one of the nation's largest dental insurers. The individual dental products will also be available in West Virginia in early 2010 (see also Dentistry).
"Some people think they cannot afford dental insurance or that they can pay for their preventive care and just hope for the best," said Sharon Muscarella, United Concordia's senior vice president of sales and chief marketing officer. "We developed our individual product line with the needs of those individuals in mind. Research increasingly suggests that there are links between a person's oral and overall health. Our wide range of individual dental policy options at affordable prices are designed to help people obtain the dental care they need to maintain good oral health."
Consumers can purchase the new individual product line, called iDental(SM), from a broker or directly from United Concordia Dental.
"Brokers and consumers can easily get quotes, pricing, benefits information and more at www.idental.com or www.UnitedConcordia.com/individual," said Jeff Ernst, the company's director of individual business development. "The site provides around-the-clock access to dental benefits, rates and more."
iDental(SM) offers five different plans geared toward meeting the varying dental needs of college students, young families, senior citizens or anyone interested in portable and affordable dental insurance.
Most of the iDental(SM) plans are designed to cover 100 percent of the cost of routine care, such as cleanings, exams and X-rays; pay toward the cost of other covered procedures, including fillings and crowns; and take full advantage of United Concordia Dental's discounted fees with network dentists, helping lower a consumer's overall dental bill.
"Each plan takes advantage of our large network of dentists -- one of the largest in the nation -- and our substantial network discounts," said Ernst. "This means that a consumer's out-of-pocket savings may be greater by choosing a dentist in our network."
United Concordia Dental plans to roll out its individual product in additional states during 2010.
