USHEALTH Advisors Leadership Team Shares a Special Night of HOPE

Thursday night, September 5th 2013 marked a very special night of HOPE, as 150 USHEALTH Advisors Sales Leaders banded together with the Company’s Leadership Team to raise more than $26,000 in support of HopeKids Phoenix. The casino-themed event featured Blackjack and Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments, with 100% of proceeds being donated to HopeKids.

Bridget Asheim, the Executive Director of HopeKids Phoenix, attended the event and expressed her gratitude for the generous donations, saying, “Your generosity will make a difference in the lives of more than 900 HopeKids families in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area. You have made me feel as if I and our HopeKids families are a part of USHA’s extended family."

The event was organized by USHA’s executive meeting planner, Randi Stokes, who researched and selected HopeKids, due in large part to the similarities she found in the two organizations. “HopeKids is all about restoring hope and transforming lives, which mirrors USHA’s mission of Helping Other People Everyday. From the moment I first made contact with HopeKids Phoenix and spoke with Bridget about what we wanted to do, I just knew this was the right cause for our Leaders to support.”

USHA Senior Vice President of Marketing, Bill Shelton added, “Wherever we gather for our annual Leaders Meeting, we try to find a way to give back to our host city. It’s not a company policy; it’s simply the way we are wired. The leaders of our company; both at the home office and in the field, have a deeply rooted spirit that is unlike anything I have experienced in my 26 years in our industry. The care and concern they showed for the families of HopeKids Phoenix was, in a word, inspirational.”

USHA President and CEO Troy McQuagge presented a check for $25,000 to HopeKids Phoenix, saying “What we have all experienced here tonight…is our company’s soul. There is nothing more powerful or, more meaningful, than making a difference for children who are fighting the most difficult battles of their lives.”

In addition to the $25,000 check the Company’s Field Leaders donated another $1,000 in cash and prizes that had been handed out during the event. The event was attended by USHA Field Leaders, the USHA Agency Leadership and the executive management team of USHEALTH Group, Inc., the parent company of USHEALTH Advisors.
