A traffic stop led to the arrest of a man who had been running from police for the past 18 months, according to Laurel County Sheriff John Root.

Deputy Mikey Ashurst found Randy Nantz, 47, of Corbin, after Ashurst stopped the vehicle in which Nantz was a passenger.

Nantz was charged with a parole violation warrant for absconding parole supervision, use of a controlled substance and failure to report to parole officer as directed.
