The Insurance Marketing Podcast Interviews Tom Simons of PARTNERS+simons Advertising Firm
The latest episode of A.M. Best Co.’s Insurance Marketing and Advertising Podcast features an interview with Tom Simons, CEO and chief creative officer at PARTNERS+simons. Simons and the agency are active in a number of accounts and are known for their work in insurance, health and financial services advertising. Simons is also a speaker at the 2010 Insurance Marketing and Advertising Summit. Listen to the full interview at http://feeds.feedburner.com/insurancemarketing or http://www.bestdayaudio.com.
In the interview, Simons discusses his background in marketing, the agency’s approach to advertising and the challenges of marketing insurance and financial services. The firm has handled some high-profile national and international insurance accounts and has ventured into new technologies, including building an iPhone app on behalf of a health insurance client. Simons will join other advertisers and marketers for an hour-long session on how insurers and marketers can work together to create breakthrough advertising. The topic will conclude A.M. Best’s 5th Annual Insurance Marketing and Advertising Summit, set for November 4, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City.
Simons is part of a session at the IMAS event titled, “Market Panel: Developing the Marketer-Insurer Relationship.” The description: “Insurers rely on agencies and communications and marketing firms to execute their message, but results can vary. A relatively small number of advertising and media agencies make a key practice of understanding what drives demand in the insurance marketplace, including insurers’ own needs. How do the successful ones make the creative serve the business? How do they get company buy-in and access to the insurance expertise that fuels meaningful campaigns? What are typical metrics for insurance advertising and marketing campaigns, and how might insurers better deploy their advertising and marketing? What channels work and why?”
The Insurance Marketing and Advertising Summit, an all-day event sponsored by Best's Review magazine, includes presentations on how insurers and related organizations can conduct branding and image campaigns and how marketers can lead the way in communicating about insurance products and services.
