BURSA - Turkish carmakers Tofas and Oyak Renault halted automotive manufacturing at their factories in western Turkey due to maintenance works and annual leave of workers. More than 4,600 workers at Bursa plant of Oyak Renault, a joint venture of Turkey's Oyak and French carmaker Renault, will be on vacation from July 26 to August 23. Oyak Renault builds Fluence, Symbol, Clio and Clio Grand Tour at its Bursa plant with a capacity of 360,000 cars annually. In the meantime, 5,600 workers of Tofas, a joint venture of Turkish conglomerate Koc Holding and Italy's Fiat, will take leave from July 26 to August 16. Some 1,000 Tofas workers will continue to work for maintenance and overhauling works. Tofas Bursa plant, which has a capacity of 400,000 cars a year, manufactures Doblo, Linea and Albea for Fiat.
