SolutionPoint Launches Global Intelligence, Security, Identity and Compliance Platform

Completes Bode Technology Acquisition, Creates Integrated Solutions Set

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SolutionPoint International, Inc., announced today that it has formally initiated operations to provide an integrated array of business intelligence, security and compliance, identity assurance and situational awareness solutions. SolutionPoint’s launch follows the completion of its acquisition of Bode Technology Group from GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLOI). Bode Technology joins NSM Surveillance and Guidepost Solutions as the principal operating units of an emerging new growth company focused on meeting the needs of an expanding worldwide commercial and government client base.

“We’ve created an organization that enables our clients to operate securely, safely and with the critical data and insights they need to achieve their objectives with confidence in a multitude of environments, from the seemingly benign to the hostile,” said Bart M. Schwartz, Chairman of SolutionPoint. “Our core priorities are to provide integrated solutions that deliver value to our clients, to operate at the highest levels of integrity, and to set the standard for excellence across our industry sectors.”

SolutionPoint’s three operating units anchor defined areas of expertise which separately, and increasingly together as an integrated offering, are in greater demand throughout the world. Each unit is a distinguished innovator in its field and managed by an experienced executive team and a dedicated workforce.

Bode Technology provides a comprehensive set of state-of-the-art forensic DNA collection, analysis, and research services to law enforcement and other government agencies around the world. Operating one of the most internationally respected private DNA laboratories, Bode’s forensic DNA experts have assisted in identifying criminals in every state in the United States, as well as victims of natural disasters, war, crime, and terrorism, including the attack on the World Trade Center.

NSM Surveillance’s broad set of situational awareness products and services are provided to commercial, law enforcement and military clients. The demands of homeland security have propelled NSM into a leading innovator in integrated hardware and software surveillance systems used for airport, border, and port security and in a wide range of government facilities.

Guidepost Solutions is a recognized leader in business intelligence and risk management solutions derived in its former operating name as SafirRosetti. Guidepost’s intelligence and security services are designed to limit a broad spectrum of risks. The company is also a market leader in compliance and monitoring services and is recognized as a leader in designing and managing the installation of physical security and life safety systems.

With its headquarters in New York, NY, SolutionPoint maintains offices and facilities in New York, Washington, D.C., Texas, Virginia and California. The company’s roster of clients include major U.S. and foreign corporations, leading universities, providers of critical infrastructure, the Department of Defense and state and federal law enforcement agencies. SolutionPoint serves their interests on five continents.

As Chairman, Bart M. Schwartz will work closely with SolutionPoint’s senior management and the leaders of each operating entity to meet client needs and leverage on the synergies across the organization. Mr. Schwartz has over 25 years of experience advising companies on compliance and monitoring, security and investigations and in management. The Vice Chairman of SolutionPoint is Joseph R. Rosetti, a veteran security and investigations executive and a co-founder of both SafirRosetti and Kroll Associates. SolutionPoint’s President is Stephen G. Maloney who has wide-ranging experience as a senior operating executive building successful companies in risk management, technology and security.

The three operating units will be led by a similarly experienced management team. Barry Watson, CEO of Bode Technology, has more than 30 years experience in government management, research and program development. NSM’s CEO, Andy Berdy, served in the U.S. Army for 30 years and in his last assignment was a Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Guidepost Solutions’ CEO is Andy O’Connell, a former federal prosecutor and federal agent, with extensive experience in security consulting and investigations.

Bode Technology was acquired from GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLOI) by SolutionPoint for a total consideration of up to $30.5 million. SolutionPoint International was founded by senior management and Anthony Lanza, who will serve on SolutionPoint’s Board of Directors. Mr. Lanza is the managing member of Carriage House Partners, the majority investor in SolutionPoint. Mr. Lanza’s father, Frank Lanza, was a founder of L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL). Patrick E. Malloy, the Chairman of Goodrich Petroleum (NYSE: GDP) will also serve on the Board of SolutionPoint. Mr. Malloy is also a principal investor in SolutionPoint.

“We’re proud of the work that our management teams and employees deliver to our clients and we are all excited about our future together,” said Joseph R. Rosetti, SolutionPoint Vice Chairman. “Companies and governments across the world are facing an ever more complex series of challenges, all of which have implications for their ability to achieve their objectives. We’re committed to providing them with meaningful solutions.”
