Securian Attorneys Move Up

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Four attorneys in the law department at Securian Financial Group, Inc., were promoted and a fifth was named chief legal officer for a Securian subsidiary.

Donna Arbisi, who was appointed to lead the company’s litigation management unit last summer, was promoted to assistant general counsel.

Mark Geldernick provides legal support to the company’s strategic business development unit and Securian Financial Institution Group (SFIG). He also was promoted to assistant general counsel.

Cathy Klimek also provides legal to support to SFIG and has become an industry expert on truth-in-lending laws. Klimek was promoted to senior counsel.

Keri O’Brien, who provides legal support to Securian’s broker-dealers and the company’s network of career advisors, also was promoted to senior counsel.

Mike Steinert, who formerly provided legal support to the individual annuity and group life insurance product lines, now serves as the chief legal officer for Allied Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Securian. He will provide advice and counsel to Allied’s management and board of directors.
