RIAS Motor Insurance Launches on Gocompare.com; the First Aggregator Partnership for the Over 50s Insurance Provider

(PRWEB UK) 17 July 2011

Over 50s insurance provider RIAS has launched its motor insurance product on Gocompare.com – the first time the specialist provider has offered insurance to consumers via an aggregator website.

With its strong telephony capability and continued commitment to UK only call centres, the move integrates aggregators with the personality and warmth the brand’s 800 telephone advisors provide, and is part of RIAS’ digital strategy.

Initially offering an aggregator-tailored motor insurance product for customers aged 70 years and over, RIAS’ launch on Gocompare.com complements the investment and development of its website – http://www.rias.co.uk/ – with recent enhancements making it even easier for customers to purchase their policies online.

Gocompare.com, the online insurance comparison service, allows consumers to compare a variety of financial, travel and business products and household services by product features and price. With RIAS now featuring on the aggregator, customers can take advantage of RIAS’ comprehensive product* and tailor their cover with a range of additional options such as Legal Protection and Excess Protection to ensure it meets their needs.

Janet Connor, Managing Director at RIAS, said: “Launching on Gocompare.com is an important milestone for RIAS’ digital strategy and with consumers being able to compare prices and cover options much more easily than ever before, we need to be visible where our customers research and purchase. This means not only meeting the needs of today’s savvy over 50s by offering a fantastic online customer experience, but raising the profile of RIAS to put our brand firmly on their shopping lists.”

John Miles at Gocompare.com, said: “We’re delighted that RIAS has chosen Gocompare.com as its first aggregator partner. Our aim is to help people find the right policy at the right price by providing comparisons based on product features, and encouraging our users not to choose their insurance on price alone. The RIAS motor insurance policy will make an excellent addition to the panel and we expect this product to perform well. We are looking forward to building our relationship with RIAS and potentially working with them across their product range in the future.”

RIAS motor insurance customers can enjoy the following policy benefits:

   •      A protected no-claims discount;
   •     A dedicated 24-hour claims service;
   •     A free courtesy car during repair;
   •     Extra discounts for low annual mileage, overnight garaging and cars over four years old; and
   •     Cover to drive in Europe for up to 91 days.

Customers can also benefit from additional cover options such as Legal Protection (£27.99) and Excess Protection (£28.50) which ensures that their motor insurance policy meets their exact needs and requirements, all of which are available via the Gocompare.com website.
