April 17--LAKE WYLIE -- Businesses at Landing Station in Lake Wylie learn which will stay or go.

Tenants at 158 Hwy. 274 center, formerly anchored by Bi-Lo, said Publix officials revealed plans Wednesday.

?We are staying,? Linda Watkins, co-owner of Echo Consignment, said today.

Publix spokeswoman Kim Reynolds said the property sale was finalized April 15. Heather Stewart with Rivercrest Realty in Raleigh, N.C., confirmed the sale of the property but would not disclose the sale price.

On the other end of the building, Eric Schanno, owner of Elite Taekwondo Academy, said ?We won't be impacted. Everything will be fine.?

Panda Hut manager Tony Weang said ?Right now, I'm staying,? though he said that still could change.

Great Clips and Aim Mail Center also will stay.

?It's a lot of relief from all the rumors,? said Richard Winter, who has owned the 9-year-old Aim Mail Center since 2010. ?It helps us to make business decisions going forward. We wanted to stay here.?

He and other tenants saw the intitial rendering of what the building will look like.

?It looks nice,? Winter said. ?It will be good to have Publix here. It's a good store.?

He said Publix officials said construction will begin in August.

Other tenants, however, will need to relocate.

?They need my space, so I need to be out in 180 days,? said Scott Segars with Nationwide Insurance.

He plans to keep the office in Lake Wylie.

?We didn't have a final answer until yesterday, so it's just a process of finding a new spot,? he said. ?We'll find a better location. It should be pretty seemless for customers. It'll be fine.?

Publix announced in September it would open a store at the Lake Wylie site by late 2015. In October, a company spokesperson confirmed the Lake Wylie location would be a rebuild project and the former Bi-Lo on York Road in Steele Creek will be a renovation set to open sooner.
