Publication of Insurance Marketing Magazine Suspended for 2009
Summit Business Media focuses resources on publications serving agent channel
Clearwater, FL (February 20, 2009) – Summit Business Media has suspended publication of Insurance Marketing magazine, one of the titles in its Advisor Media Network. The decision to suspend Insurance Marketing, a monthly magazine that targeted BGA and FMO readers, was based upon concerns about the publication's viability in current market conditions.
“As companies prioritize where they will spend their ad dollars, it has become apparent that in order to best serve our customers, we need to focus our present resources on targeting the agent channel, which we are well equipped to do with our existing publications, including Agent's Sales Journal, Life Insurance Selling, Senior Market Advisor, and National Underwriter,” said Tom Fowler, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Media Division at Summit Business Media.
The company expressed appreciation for the commitment of readers, advertisers, and staff, and stated that it will consider a relaunch of the magazine once conditions improve.
As a result of this decision, James Green (Publisher, Editor-in-Chief) and Heather Strickland (Editor) will now be focused full time on the Agent's Sales Journal.
