Progressive Car Insurance to Hire 129 People in Colorado Springs

Business Wire, Inc.

Employees enjoy on-site medical facilities, a fitness center and casual dress code

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- In a state where unemployment rates recently hit 7.9 percent, Progressive car insurance is helping boost the Colorado Springs area economy by filling 129 positions in sales and service.

Performance bonuses; a casual dress code; on-site medical facilities for employees and their families; and fitness centers are just some of the amenities that make Progressive a popular employer in the Colorado Springs area.

“We’re constantly looking for ways to make it even easier for employees to grow and succeed,” said Katie Koch, recruiting director at Progressive. “At Progressive, employees enjoy the flexibility to balance the demands of home and work. By putting our people first, we attract the best and brightest people around.”

Phone representatives will sell policies or answer customer questions. The positions require work experience in a customer service environment.

All positions offer paid training. In addition, employees receive medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.

Progressive employees also enjoy:

  • An on-site health services facility and massage services;
  • aerobics, spinning and yoga classes;
  • quiet rooms for relaxation and meditation;
  • an on-site cafeteria with a variety of convenient, healthy and economical food choices;
  • a world-renowned contemporary art collection;
  • potential bonuses based on company performance;
  • parenting resources, such as a child-care subsidy and maternity services; and
  • tuition assistance.

Colorado Business Magazine named the company 2011 Best Company to Work for in Colorado. Progressive has also been recognized as a top military employer in the Military Times EDGE Best for Vets 2011: Employers list and the G.I. Jobs magazine’s 2012 Top 100 Military-Friendly Employers®.

Active-duty reservists who earn less in the military than they do at Progressive don't face a pay cut because Progressive makes up the difference. Progressive also provides continued medical benefits for active-duty reservists and their families and offers a hiring program for military spouses.

Progressive's headquarters are located in the Cleveland suburb of Mayfield Village, Ohio. Progressive also has five other major locations across the country. To find out more about jobs in Colorado Springs or to apply, visit www.progressive.com/jobs.
