ProSight Specialty Insurance And Tangram Insurance Services Kick Off Community Giving Fund, Awarding 25 Inaugural Grants To California Nonprofits

PR Newswire Association LLC

MORRISTOWN, N.J. and PETALUMA, Calif., Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ProSight Specialty Insurance Group, Inc. ("ProSight" and "ProSight Specialty Insurance") and Tangram Insurance Services Inc., today announced the inaugural year for the companies' jointly funded Community Giving Fund ("Fund") by awarding 25 grants to community-based nonprofit organizations located throughout California. The grants will be distributed to the selected recipients through the Fund, which was established to enable both companies, in partnership with their brokers, to provide additional support to nonprofit organizations in an effort to further their missions.

The Community Giving Fund was designed to allow the charitable organizations to apply for grants, while creating the opportunity for brokers to develop even deeper relationships with the nonprofit community. Tangram's California brokers helped identify key needs in their areas, thereby playing a critical role in this process.

Fund grants range from $500 to $5,000 and support a wide array of unique nonprofit programs and services. From child abuse prevention and crisis intervention to community center, shelter and senior center support, each of the grants assist organizations that are directly impacting the communities they serve. To view the complete list of recipients, please visit: www.ProsightSpecialty.com/CommunityGivingFund

"We know that a grant, even a modest one, can make a difference and both ProSight and Tangram are thrilled to be contributing to organizations that are truly making a difference in communities across the state," said Rekha Skantharaja, a Senior Vice President at Tangram Insurance Services. "The last few years have been especially challenging as organizations struggle to find and keep their funding, and we hope that this additional support from the Community Giving Fund will help further their meaningful work," said Sue Miller, Community First Program Executive, ProSight Specialty Management Company, Inc.

ProSight partnered with Tangram Insurance Services to develop the Community First program - a comprehensive insurance program designed specifically to provide solutions for nonprofit and social services organizations. As specialists in this space for over a decade, the companies understand the unique needs of nonprofit organizations and strive to deliver the best protection and customer service available. Beyond offering insurance solutions though Community First, Tangram and ProSight are committed to providing additional support for nonprofit organizations through initiatives such as the Community Giving Fund and acting as one of the largest sponsors for the Nonprofit Risk Management Center (NRMC), an organization providing risk management resources to the social service sector. In addition, Tangram donates a significant portion of its revenue annually to the nonprofit community and gives its employees designated paid days off during the year to volunteer in the community.
