Plans for HVAC system at SHS discussed

The chosen system is a 2-pipe system that will allow expansion for a building addition in the future. But Fogerty pointed out concerns with the masonry and decorative glass blocks.
"We have to allow time to address these issues," Fogerty said. "The biggest problem with glass blocks is the maintenance issue."
Fogerty said that cost for asbestos abatement had to be stated as a range because of the unknown factor of how much asbestos there is.
"There are plaster ceilings. We don't know how much asbestos there may be behind the plaster until they are opened up," Fogerty said.
Fogerty said he expects prep work to be done in the spring 2015 with work finished in summer 2015.

No action was taken on the proposed purchase of a new driver's education vehicle. The vehicle was being considered for replacement before it was involved in a collision last week.
