Petsitting.com Announces Partnership with Business Insurers

NEW YORK, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Petsitting.com, a company that connects busy pet owners with professional pet care services, announced today its partnership with Business Insurers of the Carolinas, a leading provider of insurance for pet care providers.

Through the collaboration, Petsitting.com will refer all service providers in need of insurance to the North Carolina-based company. Business Insurers will then assist the provider with the steps necessary to become adequately insured so that they will qualify for membership into the Petsitting.com network of trusted providers.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for everyone involved in this partnership, as it offers a great benefit to Business Insurers, pet care associations and pet care providers across the country," said David Pearsall, Account Executive for Business Insurers of the Carolinas. "It allows pet service organizations to get top-quality insurance quickly and easily, as well as generates new customers for us."

In order to receive insurance, providers must be members of either Pet Sitters International, the world's largest educational association for professional pet sitters, or the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), a not for profit association. The associations are member-based organizations that help to ensure excellence in the services provided by pet care providers.

Business Insurers of the Carolinas is one of the largest insurers of pet care providers in the United States. The company offers protection to sitters, walkers, trainers, groomers, doggy daycares, boarding kennels, non-profits, shelters, pet supply stores and veterinarians.

"We are extremely excited about this development, which will provide a much-needed service to our pet care partners," said Jared Katz, Vice President of Sales at Petsitting.com. "Because we only allow insured providers into our network, this gives us the ability to assist our potential partners in getting the insurance they need to better connect with pet owners looking for a variety of services."

Petsitting.com is a free online service for pet owners to find local pet care service providers all over the U.S. and Canada. Its network of providers includes those specializing in pet sitting, dog walking, boarding, grooming, doggy daycare, pet waste removal and more.
