April 06--Dr. John Lane has joined the team of physicians at UAMS West in Fort Smith. Lane, a native of Abilene, Texas, graduated from Rice University in Houston in 1986 and from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1990. His family medicine residency training was at the University of Arizona in Tuscon.

Since 2011, he worked for Sparks Regional Medical Center at the Greenwood Family Medical Clinic. Lane and wife Leah have two children.

Justin Lovett of Van Buren was recognized at the Farm Bureau Statewide Agents and Agency Managers meeting March 13 for his total performance during 2013. Lovett, with the Crawford County Farm Bureau, received the Master Producer and the Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company-Leadership Council and the Grand Slam awards for his insurance production. Arkansas Farm Bureau is a nonprofit, private farm and rural advocacy organization of more than 195,000 families throughout the state working to improve farm and rural life.

Stephen Gebhart has joined Mercy Clinic as vice president of clinic operations. Gebhart's main focus will be primary care operations in Fort Smith and the surrounding communities.

Gebhart has more than 16 years of experience in medical practice management and hospital administration experience. He most recently was the director of Advanced ICU Care Medical Group for Mercy in St. Louis. He has a master's degree in business administration from Webster University and a master's in health administration and a science of health information management bachelor's degree from Saint Louis University.

Gebhart is a member of the Medical Group Management Association and served as president of MGMA's Missouri chapter.</p>

Beall Barclay & Company has promoted Cassie Curtis, Shelly Raney and Robert Jetton with the Fort Smith accounting team and Kelli McReynolds with the Rogers accounting team.

Curtis, a Benton native and a graduate of Arkansas Tech University and the University of Central Arkansas, was promoted to in-charge accountant. She holds a master's degree in accounting and previously was a staff accountant with Beall Barclay.

Raney, an honors graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in business administration specializing in accounting, was promoted to audit manager. The Fort Smith native obtained her CPA license in 1996 and previously was a senior staff accountant with the company. Raney has been with the firm since 2000.

Jetton, a Roland native and graduate of University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, was promoted to senior accountant from in-charge accountant. He has been with the firm since 2009, holds a bachelor of business administration specializing in accounting and received his CPA license in 2012.

McReynolds, a graduate of Northeastern State University and native of Tahlequah, was promoted to in-charge accountant at the Rogers office. She holds a bachelor of business administration specializing in accounting and has been with the firm since 2009.

USA Truck, a transportation and logistics provider based in Van Buren, announced its company driver and independent contractor driver of the year selections for 2013. Roy Causey of St. James, Mo., was named company driver of the year and Glenn Rains of Anderson, Ind., was independent contractor of the year. Both drivers will serve on the company's Driver Advocacy Board. Causey has been with USA Truck for more than 17 years. Rains has been with USA Truck for almost eight years.

George Babb, owner of the Village Inn at 7620 Rogers Ave. in Fort Smith, received the company's Franchise Partner of the Year Award during the 2014 ABRH Leadership Conference in Denver. Babb owns three Village Inn franchises in Arkansas and one in Illinois.
