Peerless Insurance™ Wins 2008 PIANH Company Technology Award

Keene, NH - May 5, 2008 – Peerless Insurance, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company, has been recognized by The Professional Insurance Agents of New Hampshire (PIANH) for its superior service to member agents in commercial lines technology.
PIANH presented its Technology Award to Peerless Insurance during the recent PIANH-IIABNH Joint Education Conference held in Manchester. The award recognizes companies that rate highest in providing a seamless customer experience through support, training, and the use of real-time transactions. Close to 150 PIANH agents participated in the 2008 Company Performance Survey, in which 26 companies were rated in the areas of technology, products and pricing, treatment of agents, marketing support, claims handling service, and underwriting.
Peerless Insurance scored first in the technology category for commercial lines. Ms. Linn Herron, regional vice president, Northern New England Regional Office, Peerless Insurance, accepted the honor on behalf of Peerless Insurance.
“Understanding our agencies’ workflows and developing solutions that deliver ease of doing business is a top priority for us,” said Ms. Herron. “We are honored by this recognition from PIANH because it reflects our ongoing commitment to harness technology so our agents can grow their businesses profitably.”
In 2007, Peerless Insurance delivered the following ease of doing business technology to its appointed agents in New Hampshire and throughout its eight state northeast territory:
-
Commercial IQ® Inland Marine Enhancement – allows for web-based, monoline Inland Marine quoting;
-
Introduced a pre-qualification tool within Commercial IQ that suggests the most appropriate product for a commercial risk;
-
CUSTOM PROTECTOR™ - a comprehensive array of property and liability coverages that can be customized for nearly 400 eligible small to mid-sized business classes; and
-
Communicator Log – allows for online dialogue with Peerless underwriters.
Peerless Insurance appointed agents also received billing and download enhancements to their agency portals, including online commercial and personal lines coverage declarations pages, transaction activity reports, enhanced policy output, claims download, direct bill commission download, and electronic deposit of commission checks.
“Technology, and specifically the ability of companies to rate in real-time, is more and more important in providing the most appropriate coverage for our mutual customers,” said PIANH Vice President Stanley Pollack, CIC. “We are pleased to present this award recognizing Peerless Insurance for its achievement in this area.”
