Ohio State Bar Association Makes Staff Changes

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 15 -- The Ohio State Bar Association issued the following news release: Mary Amos Augsburger, executive director of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA), today announced the hiring of Brian Misencik as the Association's new meetings manager.

In this role, Misencik will develop events including regular district meetings, the annual convention and meetings of the Board of Governors. He earned his bachelor of arts degree in political science and economics from Capital University. Most recently, he operated a consulting firm focusing on supporting organizational business practices, fundraising, event planning and communications. Previously, he held responsible staff positions in the Ohio Department of Commerce, as well as both the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate. He and his partner reside in German Village.

Jennifer Harrell also recently joined the OSBA's continuing legal education (CLE) staff as senior CLE program manager. In her role, she is responsible for working with members and other professionals to develop dynamic CLE programming for live presentation and in online and digital formats. Harrell worked for the OSBA on a part-time basis before joining the staff full time. She brings significant experience in training and development. She earned her undergraduate degree from Miami University and her law degree from Ohio Northern University. She and her husband live in Dublin and have two sons.

The OSBA also continues to reorganize and expand its services to members. Colleen Evans, who most recently served as membership director, has been promoted to senior director of membership and development. In her enhanced director's role, she works with staff to insure implementation of operational initiatives, supervises the meetings manager and manages the Association's member benefits programs. Evans has been with the OSBA since 1997. A graduate of Ohio University, she lives in Upper Arlington with her husband and son.

"Colleen's role is critical to our success," said Augsburger. "With her knowledge of our association and its members, she has a unique perspective that will help the professional staff serve our members at the highest level."

Elizabeth Krile has been promoted to director of member services. She has assumed responsibilities for membership services programs, member recruitment and retention and law school relations. She earned her undergraduate degree in political science from The Ohio State University and had extensive experience in association management in Ohio and Washington, D.C. She and her husband reside in Powell with their two children.
