Ohio Casualty™ Teams with The National Alliance to Offer Certified School Risk Managers Program in Pennsylvania

Fairfield, Ohio - September 15, 2009 – Ohio Casualty, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company and a leading provider of school insurance in the Mid-Atlantic, is teaming with The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research to offer its Certified School Risk Managers (CSRM) program in Pennsylvania.
The five-course CSRM program is primarily for those who hold risk management roles for school districts. The first two CSRM courses, Fundamentals of Risk Management and Handling School Risks, will be held October 20th and October 21st in Coraopolis at the Embassy Suites – Pittsburgh Airport. Measuring School Risks will be taught at Ohio Casualty’s corporate headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio on September 29th. The final two courses, Funding School Risks and Administering School Risks, will be scheduled in early 2010.
“Continuous onsite risk management and loss prevention are central to our commitment to creating safer learning and working environments,” said Michael Akin, vice president, Marketing, Ohio Casualty. “This is a program that emphasizes practice over theory, and we’re honored to work with The National Alliance to offer this specialized school risk management training for the first time in Pennsylvania school districts.”

To complete the CSRM course of study and earn the CSRM designation, participants must successfully pass examinations for each course within three years. To maintain CSRM certification and ensure continuing career development, there is an annual continuing education requirement.
