Not Even a Blizzard Can Stop Pet Sitters International’s Pet Sitter of the Year™

This award is presented annually to one pet sitter who embodies the passion and professionalism of the pet-sitting industry. Created by <org>Pet Sitters International(PSI) in 1995, the Pet Sitter of the Year designation is considered the pet-sitting industry’s highest honor.
The 2011 selection process brought in more than 500 nominations for professional pet sitters in 20 states. Serving on this year’s selection panel were

One nomination described how Di Marco borrowed a 4WD vehicle, waded through three feet of snow and shoveled a driveway to reach a client’s pets while the owner’s were out of town during a huge blizzard.
“If Jordan lived in my hometown, she would definitely be my pet sitter of choice,” said one member of the judging selection panel. “She is dedicated to the well being of both her two-legged and four-legged clients.”
The 2011 Pet Sitter of the Year award is sponsored by Business Insurers of the Carolinas, pet-sitter insurance provider and pet-sitting industry supporter for nearly two decades.
Di Marco will serve as the public face of PSI’s nearly 7,000 independently owned member businesses and represent the pet-sitting industry throughout 2012. She will be officially crowned at PSI’s Quest for
