North Carolina Department of Utilities Commission Issues Order to Show Cause in the Matter of Revocation of Certificate of Exemption for Failure to Maintain Insurance of Mark John Rupsky, d/b/a Mark's Movers

RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 28 -- The North Carolina Utilities Commission issued the following order:

In the Matter of Mark John Rupsky, d/b/a Mark's Movers, 8640 Neuse Landing Lane, Unit 109, Raleigh, North Carolina 27616 - Termination of Cargo Insurance Coverage

BY THE COMMISSION: The Commission has been advised by the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles that they have received notification from the Federal Risk Retention Pool that your cargo insurance coverage was cancelled as of August 14, 2014.

On August 4, 2014, the Commission issued its Order, in Docket No. T-100, Sub 94, suspending the certificate of exemption of the above-named carrier for failure to keep on file with the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles, For-Hire Section, evidence of insurance for the protection of the public as is required by G.S. 62-268 and Commission Rule R2-36. The said motor carrier should be required to appear and show cause why his certificate of exemption should not be revoked.

IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED as follows:

1. That Mark John Rupsky, d/b/a Mark's Movers, Raleigh, North Carolina, be, and the same is hereby, required to appear in Commission Hearing Room 2115, Dobbs Building, 430 North Salisbury Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014, and show cause, if any he has, why his certificate of exemption should not be revoked for willful failure to maintain on file with the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles, For-Hire Section, appropriate security for the protection of the public as is required by G.S. 62-268 and Commission Rule R2-36.
