Bixler said her responsibilities will include hiring, recruitment and managing benefits. It will also include risk management, which incorporates insurance and workers compensation.
But she said county officials are still discussing whether her responsibilities will include negotiating with the labor unions representing county employees, which were part of Nace's job.
"We're looking at our options there," Bixler said.
Her previous post involved handling human resources at the county-owned
"I like to think I'll work with the department managers and directors and employees, and I hope we move forward together in a positive way," Bixler said.
