Netsmart and Inflexxion Partner to Provide Integrated Addiction Severity Index-Multimedia Version (ASI-MV) and EHR Solution

PR Web

Overland Park, Kan (PRWEB) October 29, 2013

Netsmart, the leading provider of clinical solutions for health and human services organizations nationwide, and Inflexxion, creator of online behavioral health assessment programs, including the Addiction Severity Index-Multimedia Version (ASI-MV®) and Comprehensive Health Assessment for Teens (CHAT®), today announced a partnership to integrate Inflexxion’s ASI-MV and CHAT assessment tools with Netsmart’s Care Record™ electronic health record (EHR) platforms.

The integrated assessment and EHR solution is designed to improve treatment and outcome measurement while saving clinician time.

Inflexxion’s assessment tools are already integrated into Netsmart’s TIER® CareRecord solution and will soon be integrated with the company’s myAvatar™ and myEvolv™ CareRecord solutions.

“All eyes are on healthcare providers to offer improved outcomes with lowered costs. When integrated with a Netsmart CareRecord, this advanced ASI assessment tool offers detailed reports and provides clinicians with real-time data essential to providing coordinated, integrated care,” said Michael Valentine, chief executive officer, Netsmart.

The ASI-MV and CHAT assessment tools enable behavioral health and addiction services organizations to provide a self-administered ASI assessment to clients that includes both audio and video components. It immediately generates scores and detailed reports based on real-time data collection, which are integrated with the Netsmart CareRecord to provide clinicians with consolidated information. The clinician reviews the report to identify problem areas, completes the assessment process, adds to the treatment plan in the Netsmart EHR, and shares the data with the client and care team.

“This integrated approach allows organizations to optimize their clinical and operational performance in this key area, and also supports comparisons with local and national benchmarking to share best practices,” said Simon Budman, founder, president and CEO, Inflexxion. ‘‘ASI-MV and CHAT allow for consistent, systematic data collection across multiple agencies or locations, giving clinicians a powerful analytical tool to assess and monitor client progress in real-time. The data collected by ASI-MV and CHAT is a critical component in measuring outcomes required by the Affordable Care Act.”

Buffalo Valley, Inc., of Hohenwald, Tenn., has begun using the ASI-MV integrated within their Netsmart TIER CareRecord solution.

“Our clients have found the program easy to use and the information can be easily integrated into the TIER CareRecord,” said Deborah Hillin, senior vice president, Buffalo Valley, Inc. “We used to have our clinicians administer the ASI, but once we started using the client self-administered ASI-MV, we have seen a 76 percent cost savings for our ASI assessments in terms of clinician time. This allows our organization to better use our resources and direct clinician time where it is most needed.”
