Navigant Strengthens Technology Solutions Practice in Chicago [Professional Services Close – Up]

Navigant Consulting, Inc. announced that it has expanded its Technology Solutions practice in Chicago with the addition of Managing Director, Jim Vint, and Directors, Kevin Blake and Kevin Byrne.

The addition of these senior leaders compliments Navigant's full service e-Discovery services and adds specialized expertise to its data analytics team, the firm noted in a release.

"Data management needs have become increasingly complex and unique, creating the demand for specialized data analytics expertise," said Erik Post, Managing Director and Leader of the Technology Solutions practice. "These senior data experts bring critical skills to help companies and legal counsel to respond with greater precision to the evolving data issues raised in investigations and disputes."

Jim Vint has experience in litigation and investigation projects, managing the discovery process for electronically stored information ("ESI") as well as enterprise databases and applications. He has advised numerous global 500 firms in the financial services, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and consumer products industries and has developed software applications to assist companies with data management issues specific to corporate fraud, consumer related allegations of improprieties and general commercial disputes. Vint has extensive experience assisting international corporations in responding to U.S. regulatory inquiries, reacting to regulator raids and responding to requests for information. Additionally, he has provided risk mitigation services and transactional data analysis in internal audit committee and regulatory investigations, M&A, bankruptcy, regulatory infractions and other general distressed situations.

Kevin Blake brings more than ten years of experience providing complex consulting services in the areas of insurance asset recovery, data analytics and the development of financial systems. Additionally he has provided valuation, negotiation and other complex data analysis to a wide array of clients involved in litigation, coverage and regulatory disputes and other distressed situations. Navigant said that Blake's experience includes the collection and reconciliation of numerous sources of data, data interpretation through database creation and design, integration of data into specific models for valuation and manipulation, and development of tailored reporting and analysis.

Kevin Byrne has 20 years of experience in financial administration and information system planning and strategy, including significant experience in business process analysis and the implementation of enterprise-wide financial, procurement, human resource, timekeeping, project control and criminal justice information systems. Byrne has planned and managed many large electronic discovery engagements, including managing the collection process for a number of large international litigations which involved more than 100 custodians.
