"We are happy to announce that Financial Algebra has been adopted by Mesa Public Schools, the largest district in the state of Arizona. We are confident that its high school students will be delighted by our world-class content and engaging material," said Vincent Grosso, vice president, National Geographic Learning. "A bill passed in Arizona last year which will require financial knowledge and competency for high school graduation. We are excited to partner with Mesa Public Schools, and the rest of the state, to support high school students so that they may graduate with financial literacy. We recognize that personal finance skills serve as the foundation for workforce readiness – which is why our Financial Algebra program supports not only mastery of critical concepts, but also how these concepts will translate to real-world situations."

Leveraging the dynamic authorship team of Robert Gerver, Ph.D. and Richard Sgroi, Ph.D., Financial Algebra provides teachers and students with an algebra-based and technology-rich program explicitly developed for and aligned to the Common Core State Standards that use Algebra I skills in a financial setting. The program also introduces students to selected topics from Algebra II and Pre-Calculus in an ability-appropriate way, while covering topics such as taxes, insurance, banking, budgeting, investing, home ownership, auto ownership, credit and more. Financial Algebra offers all students the opportunity to extend and practice their algebra mechanics and problem-solving skills in interesting and engaging, age-appropriate scenarios.
