National Ergonomics Conference & ErgoExpo Grows Attendance by 30%

The industry’s leaders gathered in Las Vegas for the 19th annual National Ergonomics Conference & ErgoExpo, held at Caesars Palace on Dec. 3 - 6, 2013. With a total community of 1,500 attendees and exhibitor representatives from all around the United States and seven countries, the conference experienced the largest show-to-show increase in the event’s history.

“We were delighted to see such significant growth at this year’s event. With an audience that was nearly 30% larger and a show floor that was 25% bigger than last year, ErgoExpo is poised for even more dramatic growth as the overall business climate continues to improve,” said Walter Charnizon, Managing Director, LRP Conferences.

The National Ergonomics Conference, which featured keynotes by Bill Horsford, General Manager, Production Engineering Division, Toyota MMNA; Andrew Imada, President, A.S. Imada & Associates; and Ian Noy, VP and Director, Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety, focused on equipping attendees with best practices and proven strategies to help build or improve their ergonomics, safety and wellness initiatives. Through more than 65 sessions and 10 workshops, ErgoExpo attendees discovered fresh approaches to take their organization’s productivity and cost-saving measures to the next level.

The educational sessions, developed by Professor Alan Hedge, PhD, CPE, provided an opportunity for attendees to also earn valuable CEUs, COCs and CM points.

An attendee favorite during the 3-day event was the ErgoExpo Attendees’ Choice Awards. Recipients, selected by ergonomics professionals, were announced in the Expo hall on Dec. 5. The winners reflect which new products professionals in the industry believe offer the best opportunity to increase productivity and profitability, while improving workplace health and safety.
