National Club Association Endorsed Directors & Officers Liability Insurance – Coverage Clubs Need
WASHINGTON, DC - The National Club Association (NCA) has renewed its commitment to offer its members a very competitively priced Directors & Officers program as part of the NCA’s mission to protect the interest and well-being of private social and recreational clubs.
A recent survey of city, athletic and country clubs performed by NCA has proven clubs are aware of the need to protect themselves with directors and officers insurance. A growing number of claims alleging discrimination, mismanagement of the club’s finances and wrongful termination have caused many carriers to restrict coverage and increase their rates. The survey also found that nearly 25 percent of the respondents had been involved with a D&O suit at their club.
The NCA Endorsed Directors & Officers Insurance Program is available now and provides affordable coverages critical to clubs today. Program highlights include:
-
Club membership discrimination coverage endorsement
-
Defense Outside and Equal to the limit of liability for policies with limits of up to $2.5 million
-
Punitive Damages coverage (where permissible by law)
-
Outside Directorship Liability
-
Waiver of deductible for finding of no liability (where deductible is $7,500 or less)
In addition, NCA members receive a 5% discount.
NCA worked with leading liability coverage experts, Aon Association Services, a division of Affinity Insurance Services Inc., and U.S. Specialty Insurance, a division of Houston Casualty Company, to make this program possible. "The result is a NCA-endorsed program that offers broad-based coverage and excellent value clubs will be hard-pressed to find elsewhere," said NCA Director of Membership and Marketing Services, Kevin Scullen.
