Mostyn Law Firm Attorney Rene Sigman Named to Super Lawyers List for Fourth Straight Year

Rene Sigman, an attorney for the Houston-based Mostyn Law Firm, has been named a Rising Star on the prestigious Super Lawyers list for the fourth consecutive year.

Complied by Thomson Reuters, the Super Lawyers list includes attorneys across Texas based on professional evaluations and peer analysis. Super Lawyers ultimately recognizes less than five percent of all attorneys in the state while the Rising Star designation applies to less than 2.5 percent of Texas attorneys. Sigman was noted for her accomplishments in "insurance coverage" and has been named a Super Lawyer every year since 2011.

"It's an honor to be selected by my peers and the legal community for doing a job that I love," Sigman said. "It's not work to me; I truly feel this was something I was born to do. The past year has been exciting for Sigman. She successfully handled a first party bad faith trial as a co-counsel that resulted in a favorable judgment for her clients. In addition to being Head of Litigation for the Firm, Sigman has also been serving as the plaintiffs' liaison counsel on cases related to Hurricane Ike and assisting on Hidalgo County hail storm claims.

Beyond her day to day work at Mostyn Law Firm, Sigman was an adjunct professor at South Texas College of Law from 2005 to 2008 teaching mock trial litigation. Sigman is a Houston native and member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association. She has also served on the board of trustees for Houston First Baptist Academy for the past four years and is chair of the community service project for Boy Scout Pack 789.
