Minority and Women Owned Businesses in Focus at Trade Brooklyn April 2, 2014

BROOKLYN, N.Y., March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ­Cardinal Trade Group, Inc. (CTG), the producer of the New York region's top business events, will bring an all new and larger Trade Brooklyn (Brooklyn's Business Trade Show) to the heart of Brooklyn at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, 333 Adams Street on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.  In addition to its larger exhibition space and more accessible venue, this year's show will have an added focus on minority and women owned businesses. 

The advantages of equipping women and minority business professionals with the knowledge and tools for understanding the process of getting M/WBE (Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprise) certified and how to maximize certification for business development and growth is the focus of the Trade Brooklyn seminar Brooklyn Leaders Forum: M/WBE Secrets – Best Practices for Winning Contracts, presented from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Offered by Highbrid Media, this workshop will feature a panel of successful women and minority business owners who will share their personal secrets to winning in the high stakes game of securing contracts and business.

The inspiring guest panelist include: Gregg Bishop, Deputy Commissioner of the Business Development Division of the Department of Small Business of New York; Joe Corchado, CEO of JFD Office Interiors; Paisley Demby, Business Services Director of Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Small Business Program; Rick Hernandez, Manager of ESPN Deportes New York; and Tamara Nall, President & CEO of The Leading Niche.  The discussion will be moderated by Daniel Gutzmore and Juan Perez of Highbrid Media.

Show admission is free with advance registration and $20 at the door. The 5 Borough Business Breakfast will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and is $40.00 (has sold out for the past three years).
