Mingo County arrests

Oct. 04--WILLIAMSON -- Recent Mingo County arrests and criminal complaints were released this week by the Mingo County Magistrate Court.

They are as follows:

September 28

Ryan Browning , 18 of Isaban was arrested by Mingo County Sheriffs R. Messer and K. Wilson for breaking his bond condition of September 19, 2014. Browning took from the residence of which he was lawfully confined to as a bond condition. Browning was booked into the Southwestern Regional Jail on October 1, 2014.

September 28

Frank Edward Clevenger, 35 of Belfry, Kentucky was arrested for battery, malicious wounding and petit larceny. Williamson Police Officers J. Marcum and B Sipple responded to a 911 disturbance call near Dandy's Bar at First Avenue in Williamson of a female who had been beat outside the business. On arrival officers found the victim Mandy Porter with several injuries. In a complaint filed by the victim and corroborated to officers by witnesses outside the business, Clevenger did cause injuries to the victim by physical contact including but not limited by hitting, shoving and strangulation causing unconsciousness. Porter states when she came back to a conscious state her property, purse, money and phone were taken. Officers do have reasons to believe Clevenger did commit the following offenses. Porter has no relation to the accused. The property at loss was estimated at $500 dollars. Other charges may follow pending further investigation.

September 29

Christopher Blankenship, 36 of Newtown and Donald Ray Marcum, 50 of Williamson were arrested by West Virginia State Trooper D. M. Williamson on public intoxication, trespassing and disorderly conduct. Williamson was dispatched to the Living Water Church Day Care Center in Williamson in reference to a possible fight. Upon arrival, the Trooper located the accused, Blankenship and Marcum and smelled what was believed to be alcohol. Upon further investigation, the Trooper was advised by the Manager of the Living Water Church Day Care Center that she had advised the defendants numerous times to stay off of the property and that they were trespassing. Trooper Williamson was advised by Williamson Police Department that the accused had been told prior to leave the premises following harassment and use of profane language around both children and adults at the Center.

September 30

Terry J. Cline, 92 of Wharncliff was arrested on a misdemeanor by West Virginia State Troopers T. G. Kania and S. A. Belt. Wharncliff was driving an ATV on County Route 10, a road marked with a center line. The Troopers initiated a traffic stop and found Cline driving on a revoked operators for a prior DUI, ATV on a roadway, no insurance or registration for the ATV.

September 30

Donald Willis, 39 of Williamson was arrested by West Virginia State Trooper J. J. Dean on battery. Joseph Mounts stated Willis, while at Mounts' girlfriend's house, struck him with a closed fist. The Trooper observed bruises on Mounts.

September 30

Ezekiel Cantebury, 37 of Lenore was arrested by West Virginia State Trooper J. J. Dean on battery. Joseph Mounts stated Cantebury, while at Mounts' girlfriend's house, struck him with a closed fist. The Trooper observed bruises on Mounts.

October 1

Tommy Willis, 39 of Williamson was arrested for trespassing by Mingo County Sheriffs Department Sgt. R. Messer. Willis was on the property belonging to Carlos Blackburn and was ask to leave several times and failed to comply.
