Reid, director of Litigation, Subrogation and Medicare for Accident Fund Holdings, to the Michigan Self-Insurers' Security Fund, Second Injury Fund, Silicosis, Dust Disease, and Logging Industry Compensation Fund Board of Trustees.

The Self-Insurers' Security Fund, Second Injury Fund, Silicosis, Dust Disease, and Logging Industry Compensation Fund Board of Trustees oversees the Funds Administration, which is funded by insurers who write workers' compensation policies in the state of Michigan and employers who self-insure their workers' compensation liability.  The board's assessments cover all benefits paid by the Funds Administration and all administrative and litigation costs.  Each of the three funds makes a separate assessment.  The Second Injury Fund and Silicosis, Dust Disease, and Logging Industry Compensation Fund assessments are paid by insurance companies and self-insured employers.  The Self-Insurers' Security Fund assessments are made against only private self-insured employers. 

As the director of Litigation, Subrogation and Medicare for Accident Fund Holdings, Reid is responsible for staff counsel in California, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin, while overseeing panel counsel nationwide.  He manages the subrogation process for all of the companies' subsidiaries and is responsible for Medicare compliance within the claims operations.

Reid, a resident of East Grand Rapids, Mich., is a member of the Board of Directors for the East Grand RapidsSchools Foundation.  He earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from University of Detroit MercySchool of Law.
