MediStreams Partners with Healthpac Adding the Conversion of Paper EOBs to ANSI 835s to the Healthpac Billing Software

PR Web

Roswell, Georgia (PRWEB) December 23, 2011

MediStreams LLC, a Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management company, officially announced today that HealthPac Computer Systems, Inc., a nationally recognized leader in healthcare billing software development has entered into a strategic alliance with MediStreams to offer the MediStreams cloud hosted Remittance Automation services to Healthpac clients. By integrating the services into their billing software, they enable their clients the visibility of all claims through the MediStreams online portal with reporting and analytical capability.

Processing paper EOB statements has become one of the most labor-intensive and costly back-office functions for healthcare providers today. The MediStreams solution automates the posting of 100% of remittances, regardless of the original source or format of the EOB or remittance. Using a combination of OCR, a sophisticated rules engine and single-click correction technology, MediStreams converts paper EOBs or electronic remittance into a standardized electronic posting file. Paper and electronic remittances are posted in an automated fashion, reducing back office costs, lowering accounts receivable days and increasing accuracy and efficiency eliminating manual data entry.

“The Medistreams project interfacing with Healthpac’s dynamic HplusPRO system has been a tremendous success. I would like to thank Aaron Grandison, President of MediStreams, and his development team for their outstanding service and time in deploying a seamless interface that will result in thousands of work hours being saved by converting paper payments, from both insurance companies and patients, into electronically processed 835 remittance files. The strength of this relationship will be invaluable for Healthpac’s national clients. Over 9,000 healthcare providers are being successfully billed by the HplusPRO healthcare billing software. The MediStreams paperless interface will enable Healthpac’s clients to get more work done, in less time, using less valuable staff resources. What a winning combination--MediStreams and Healthpac!” said Buddy Claborn, CEO and Founder of Healthpac.

According to Aaron Grandison, President of MediStreams, “Healthpac's billing and EMR solutions are incredibly robust and offer their professional clients cutting edge technology and superior support and services. Professionals using their solutions are already providing their customers with industry leading results in the way of cost reductions and revenues collected.

By integrating Medistreams Medical Banking module, professional billing companies and provider sites using Healthpac can add significant efficiencies, cost reductions and reduce DSO. Medistreams integration with Healthpac immediately illuminates revenue opportunities for its users that other PMS's struggle to identify in a timely manner, if at all.”
