Mechanics Bank Names Larry Fountain as EVP, Director of Commercial Banking

Mechanics Bank announced the appointment of Larry Fountain as Executive Vice President and Director of Commercial Banking.
In a release, Mechanics Bank said that Fountain has more than 25 years commercial banking experience and most recently held the role of Executive Vice President and Regional President for the San Francisco Bay Area Market at Torrey Pines Bank in Oakland. Fountain's extensive and diverse leadership experience in business, commercial, corporate and international banking has led to his proven track record of success. He was responsible for growth and profitability with a focus on credit delivery, risk management and business development.
"Larry is a veteran banker who comes to Mechanics Bank with a well diversified background in commercial and industrial, construction, real estate and agricultural lending," says Christa Steele, Mechanics Bank CEO. "His industry expertise and customer focus is a welcome addition to our executive team."
The $3 billion independent bank, based in Northern California, offers personal banking, business banking, trust, brokerage and wealth management services.
