Sept. 30--MOULTRIE -- A severely intoxicated Moultrie man was arrested Saturday night and briefly hospitalized after he was found sleeping in an abandoned house.

William Gandy, 56, was charged Saturday with criminal trespass after he was found on the floor of a vacant house in the 500 block of East Central Avenue.

Police were dispatched there at about 9:40 p.m. to a complaint of an unconscious person inside the house, Moultrie Police Department reports said.

At Colquitt County Jail, tests showed Gandy had a blood alcohol content of 0.316, nearly four times the legal limit for driving.

He was taken to Colquitt Regional Medical Center for observation and later released on a subpoena.

--Jermaine Cagney Frier, 28, 120 Hamilton Circle, Sylvester, was charged Friday with criminal trespass, duty to obey police officer and probation violation.

--Artavis D. Williams, 27, 176 William Way, was charged Friday with theft by deception.

He is accused of selling a stolen Wii game system at Pawn Depot, 209 Sixth St. S.E.

--Christine Gamble, 53, 1206 12th St. S.E., was charged Friday with forgery.

--Earnest Lee Daniels, 51, 607 First St. S.W., was charged Saturday with simple battery.

--Silverio Del Angel Hernandez, 24, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence and no driver's license.

--Derek McDaniel, 32, 416 31st Ave. S.E. Apt. E, was charged Sunday with simple battery.

Police arrested McDaniel after Yolanda McDaniel reported that he threw a remote control, striking her in the chest.

--John David Hunt, 69, 316 First Ave. S.W., was charged Monday with begging prohibited.

--Dustin Blake Kastelic, 24, 1265 Doc Darbyshire Road, was charged Friday with possession of marijuana, driving with suspended license and seat belt violation.

--Seth Hamilton Chitty, 24, 306 Holly Trail, was charged Friday with possession of cocaine and seat belt violation.

--Funterious Earl Copeland, 21, 514 First Ave. N.W., was charged Sunday with probation violation.

--James Tyler Cobb, 21, 69 Fox Trot Drive, was charged Wednesday with probation violation.

Sheriff's Office

--Danny Lynn Fritts, 24, 1271 Bob Taylor Road, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence and failure to drive within a single lane.

--Sergio Perez, 42, 2820 First Ave. Lot 10, was charged Saturday with pedestrian under the influence.

--Cagney Jermaine Frier, 8, 120 Hamilton Circle, Sylvester, was charged Friday with three counts of theft by receiving stolen property, driving while license withdrawn, loitering, obstruction of an officer, theft by deception and probation violation.

--Kenneth Leonard Weaver, 44, 122 Second Ave. N.W., was charged Friday with failure to appear.

Berlin Police

--Monika Shontae Johnson, 36, 1314 10th St. S.W., was charged Friday with driving while tag suspended, no insurance and driving while license withdrawn.

--Charles Brian Burnett, 39, 5217 Saddle Bag Road, Lake Park, was charged with driving while tag suspended, obstruction of an officer and failure to change address on driver's license.

--Tijuana Lashay Sanders, 36, 1205 Sixth Ave. N.W., was charged Friday with driving while tag suspended and no insurance.

Doerun Police

--Elsa Lovisa Fischer, 37, 176 Lester-Norman Park Road, Norman Park, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, driving without a license and failure to stop at stop sign.

Norman Park

--Jose Huerta, 18, 903 Jonah Tillman Road, was charged Sunday with driving without a license and too fast for conditions.

Georgia State Patrol

--Luis Miguel Estrada, 36, 650 Willow Drive, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, improper turn, failure to drive within a single lane, driving without a license and probation violation.

--Emilio Luna Lopez, 21, 152 Hiers Ave., was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, driving without a license, failure to drive within a single lane and open container in vehicle.

Assaults

--Isis Argueta, 500 block Indian Lake Drive, reported Friday that a male companion hit her in the face during an argument.

--Wanda Pincon, 700 block D.H. Alderman Road, reported Sunday that a female acquaintance pushed her friend Luis Rodriguez several times at two residences on Circle Road.

Pincon also reported that the woman's son also hit Rodriguez.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

--Charlie Mae Simpson, 800 block Sixth Avenue Northwest, reported Friday that someone threw a small piece of asphalt at her window.

--Howard Boston, 500 block Fourth Street Northwest, reported Friday that a window was broken at one of his apartments.

Damage was estimated at $135.

--Rickie Butler, 500 block Northside Drive, reported Saturday that a female acquaintance kicked in the door of his residence.

Butler told police that he held the door shut and the woman left when she realized she could not get in.

--Gloria Smith, Moultrie, reported Saturday that a driver struck her 2006 Pontiac Torrent while it was parked in the 2400 block of South Main Street.

A witness told police that a woman in a Ford Expedition drove into the rear of the Pontiac, got out and examined the damage, and then left.

--Earnestine Hall-Baker, 700 block Second Street Northwest, reported Sunday that a neighbor's son cut her barbed wire fence.
