Malaysian Assurance Alliance Partners With Medical Center
Malaysian Assurance Alliance Berhad (MAA Assurance) [89133] said it has entered a strategic partnership with Prince Court Medical Center to provide policyholders with medical treatment services.
En. Muhamad Umar Swift, chief executive officer of MAA Assurance, said in a statement that the collaboration will link medical life policyholders with the facilities available at the medical center, while both parties can build their businesses together to bring convenience and value to their customers.
MAA Assurance has participated in the medical insurance market since 2000. The insurer said it has become a top-five medical insurer in the Malaysian life insurance industry within 10 years.
Established in September 1968, MAA Assurance is a subsidiary of MAA Holdings Berhad, operating a life and general insurance company in Malaysia.
In 2008, the insurer recorded profit before tax of 24.59 million ringgit (US$7.2 million). Gross premium income generated from life and general insurance was respectively 1.2 billion ringgit and 372 million ringgit.
