June 25--United Heritage gains new board member

Diane Polscer of Portland has been elected to the board of directors of the United Heritage Mutual Holding Co. in Meridian. United Heritage Financial Group and United Heritage Life Insurance Co. announced the election of Polscer to their respective boards of directors.

Polscer is the managing partner of the Gordon & Polscer LLC law firm in Portland.

She has experience in complex commercial litigation including business and insurance disputes and appeals. She has served as past chairwoman of the Excess and Reinsurance Subcommittee of the Defense Research Institute Insurance Law Committee, past chairwoman of the Insurance Coverage Section of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and past member on the Oregon State Board of Bar Examiners. Polscer is a co-founder and regular contributor to the National Insurance Law Forum, a law blog devoted to legal and legislative developments in insurance law.

Polscer serves as a member of the Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation board of trustees and the Friends of the Oregon Episcopal School Library, and is also a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the International Network of Boutique Law Firms (president, Oregon chapter), the National Charity League, the Associates of Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Children's Cancer Association.

Evans gives to WCA

D. L. Evans Bank presented a $500 donation to the Women's and Children's Alliance. The bank made the donation to benefit the WCA fundraising breakfast, Healing Begins with Hope.

Bank of Cascades expands, hires 3

Shane A. Hahn, Andy Warren and David J. Saxey have joined Bank of the Cascades.

Hahn is senior vice president and commercial loan manager. He brings 20 years of business and consumer lending expertise, having previously held positions with Wells Fargo and Key Bank serving southern and eastern Idaho.

Warren is vice president and Small Business Administration government loan specialist. He has 25 years of Idaho banking experience, including experience in SBA loans, products, policies and procedures. He previously held leadership positions with Wells Fargo, Syringa Bank and Zions Bank.

Saxey is mortgage loan officer at the Eagle branch. He has six years of experience as a mortgage broker and owner of a mortgage company, in addition to his business consultant expertise as a financial and business analysis for other organizations.

Bank of the Cascades is expanding its commercial and mortgage staffs to increase personal and commercial lending in Oregon and Idaho, says President and CEO Terry Zink.

Home Federal promotes 2, hires 1

Sanya Allmaras and Jim Reames have been promoted by Home Federal Bank, and Amy Ramirez has joined the bank.

Allmaras, senior vice president, is director of bank operations. Working in Nampa, Allmaras will oversee the operations team consisting of loan servicing, deposit operations, electronic banking, facilities, retail operations, fraud investigation, bank secrecy act compliance and the business lending center.

Allmaras has spent the past 16 years working for Home Federal Bank. Her background includes experience in deposit operations, electronic banking, project management, retail banking operations, fraud investigation, security and compliance. Most recently she served as the bank's director of risk management.

She received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from the College of Idaho and was a 2006 Tribute to Women and Industry honoree.

Reames, a vice president, was promoted to business banking relationship manager. Reames will work closely with branches in the Treasure Valley to increase business lending, provide referrals and foster Small Business Administration loan growth.

Reames' banking career spans 11 years, including five at Home Federal Bank as manager of the Nampa branch. Reames serves as treasurer for the Boys & Girls Club of Nampa and is a member of the Kiwanis Club.

Ramirez has joined the bank as merchant services officer. Operating from the Silverstone branch, Ramirez is responsible for soliciting and selling bank card processing services to merchants. She will sell card-processing hardware and software and help merchants in financing equipment.

With seven years in the financial services industry, Ramirez has held positions including branch service manager, personal banker and private banking operations specialist. She earned a bachelor of science degree in business and economics from Eastern Oregon University in LaGrande.

Player hired at Zions

Dave Player has joined Zions Bank as a vice president and relationship manager, responsible for business development, underwriting and managing relationships with commercial banking clients. He is based at the Commercial Banking Center at 9th and Idaho streets in Downtown Boise.

Player worked at Western Trailers, where he had been a corporate project manager and internal business consultant since 2010. He spent more than 30 years in commercial finance and corporate banking, including four years with Zions.

Player graduated magna cum laude with a degree in economics from the University of Utah College of Business and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School. He is a member of the board of directors of the Bogus Nordic Foundation.
