Lunarline’s Cyber Security Courses Meet Committee on National Security Systems CNSS National Standard 4015 System Certifier
The Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) Program has evaluated and validated that Lunarline, Inc. courseware meets all of the elements of the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) National Training Standard for: Systems Certifiers, NSTISSI No. 4015.
The reviewer of Lunarline's IACE application noted, "The courseware managers have also acknowledged the expected changes to the Certification & Accreditation (C&A) process within the material, which was noteworthy in ensuring that the materials were current. To elaborate, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) under a Joint Task Force Transformation initiative has partnered with CNSS, DoD and the DNI to transform the C&A process into a Risk Management Framework. While this has been underway for some time, the formal announcement from NIST was just released recently. The courses on CNSS, FISMA and DIACAP all address this, as the institution has already embedded much of the risk management process in their materials and there is much discussion on the risk management process - very timely and nicely done."
Lunarline's achievement in obtaining 4015 compliance provides a unique opportunity for students to meet the requirements for Systems Certifier quickly. Most approved 4015 training providers are universities and colleges that require students to take semester long courses to achieve certification. With Lunarline, students can take the DIACAP (3 Day In-Depth), DIACAP (5 Day Validator), FISMA (3 Day In-Depth) and CNSS (3 Day In-Depth) courses and achieve certification in 16 days of training.
Lunarline will receive the official certificate, signed by the CNSS Chair, at the 14th Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE). The Colloquium will be held from June 7-9, 2010 at the "Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards" in Baltimore, Maryland. The ceremony will be held at 8:00PM on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the National Electronics Museum in Linthicum, Maryland.
