Lincoln National’s Wholesale Distribution Unit Hires CMO for New Position

Lincoln National Corp.'s wholesale distribution unit has hired Richard Aneser as its chief marketing officer, effectively immediately.
In the newly created position, Aneser will oversee strategic marketing for Lincoln’s portfolio of insurance and retirement products sold through financial advisers, institutions, insurance brokers and consultants in the United States.
Aneser joins Lincoln with more than two decades of industry marketing experience. Before Lincoln, he served as managing director and head of advisory and solutions marketing and wealth management Americas for UBS. There, he focused on tailored campaigns to drive growth at the individual adviser level.
From 2002 to 2009, Aneser held several marketing roles with Merrill Lynch, including as a member of the Global Wealth Management Global Leadership Council.
Lincoln Financial Group is the marketing name for Lincoln National (NYSE: LNC) and its affiliates. The companies of Lincoln National had assets under management of $160 billion at Dec. 31, 2011.
Aneser will report to Will Fuller, president and chief executive officer of Lincoln Financial Distributors.
Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. currently has a Best's Financial Strength Rating of A+ (Superior).
