Leading DJ Insurance Broker R.V. Nuccio & Associates Launches New Web Site
R.
"These mobile entertainers have special needs that aren't met by many traditional insurance plans," says
Many venues require DJs to carry liability insurance before they are allowed to perform at an event. Failure to carry liability insurance will often times cause the venue to deny the DJ access to the event. DJs are held personally liable for injury or property damage resulting from their activities. Nuccio's liability insurance covers DJs for up to
Besides liability insurance, the new web site also sells property/equipment and crime insurance.
"Mobile entertainers transport their equipment all over town," says Nuccio. “Because DJ equipment is considered business personal property and therefore represents a business pursuit, neither a homeowners policy nor a personal automobile policy will provide any insurance coverage.”
Today's mobile entertainers can spend tens of thousands of dollars on their setups. Many also have large collections of rare and expensive media, including CDs, KDs and vinyl records. Nuccio's company offers property insurance for both equipment and media.
In addition, the web site offers crime insurance to cover DJs from thefts committed by their employees.
"That's important for any DJ with employees or subcontractors," says Nuccio, "Most property insurance covers theft by strangers, but it doesn't cover theft by the people who work for you. Yet that happens all the time, usually when you are not looking. Losses tend to build up over time until discovered months or years later."

All of Nuccio's policies can be customized and purchased at the new web site, without needing to talk to an insurance broker. An online form walks customers through few simple questions, asking how many setups need coverage, the value of the business's property , and how much crime insurance coverage they want, if any. Any of the three coverage options may be purchased “A La Carte”. Customers can pay online and print their policy and Additional Insured Certificate right away, even on a Saturday afternoon for a Sunday event.
"Our motto is quote, pay, print in minutes," says Nuccio. If you are already a customer, you can print a Certificate right before a gig.
