DOYLESTOWN -- Laura L. Fowler, age 70, passed away on October 15, 2013.
Born on June 8, 1943, in Logan, W. Va., to Frank and Veronica (Burch) Vance, she was a resident of Doylestown for the past 10 years, and was previously of Columbus for 18 years. Laura retired from Whitaker-Myers Insurance Group in Wooster and had also worked for the Insurance Co. of Ohio. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Vance; and sister, Emily Baker.
She is survived by her children, Patrick (Kristin) Fowler of Charlotte, N.C., Melissa (John) Llewellyn of Doylestown and Andy Fowler of Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Sean and Natalie Fowler, Taylor, Miranda and Nicholas Llewellyn; friend, Earl Helmreich of Doylestown; sister, Sheila Newhouse; brother, Richard (Phyllis) Vance.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, with Fr. Robert Stein, celebrant. Inurnment to follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service time at the church.
