Kony Acquires Sky Technologies to Accelerate Leadership Role in Fast-Expanding Global Enterprise Mobility Market

Combined Portfolio Offers SAP Customers the Industry’s Most Complete End-to-End Mobility Solution

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- As part of its ongoing strategy to simplify enterprise mobility, Kony Solutions, Inc., today announced it will acquire Sky Technologies, an SAP-certified mobility solutions provider based in Melbourne, Australia. The acquisition brings together Sky’s deep enterprise expertise and large installed base of SAP mobile customers with Kony’s award-winning mobile and multichannel application platform, packaged mobile applications, and mobile application management (MAM) solutions. The resulting solution will enable corporations of all sizes to accelerate time to revenue and time to market by harnessing highly efficient mobile technologies for both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-employee (B2E) applications.

This strategic acquisition by Kony comes during a shift in computing to mobile devices, both within the enterprise and among consumers. To meet the demands created by this shift, industry analyst firm Gartner, Inc. recommends that businesses take a multichannel approach to their computing strategies, creating a unified architecture encompassing mobile, rich client, desktop Web, and other digital channels to deliver optimized user experiences across the full variety of devices that users interact with every day.
