John Hancock Annuities has made eDelivery options for quarterly statements and confirmations available for all annuity contract owners who register on its award-winning web site, www.jhannuities.com. Owners who wish to receive their statements and other account materials may now choose secure electronic delivery instead of paper mail. Sign-up is easy and direct, by logging on to www.jhannuities.com, and following prompts. John Hancock Annuities is instructing both financial advisors and their customers about John Hancock's eDelivery via emails, mailers, posters, newsletters, phone messaging and online Q&As.
"We are very excited to expand our range of online services to include quarterly statements and transaction confirms - making it even easier to access and save key information, and of course, reduce use of paper and printing, that reduces strain on the environment," said Tom Mullen, Vice President, Marketing, John Hancock Annuities. "John Hancock has been at the forefront of efforts to offer useful, web-based tools to help clients and advisors understand their annuities and manage them efficiently. This is a great step forward."
In order to increase awareness and participation in the new online services, John Hancock Annuities announced a sweepstakes campaign which will run from August 9, 2010, through February 15, 2011. Any client who signs up for any eDelivery options will be automatically entered into the sweepstakes. Winners will be determined by random drawing in March 2011. The Grand Prize is winner's choice of a vacation getaway for two to a luxurious eco-friendly resort; either the Ladera Resort on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, or the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in California. Ten first prizes of Apple iPads will also be awarded. Fifty second-prize winners will be awarded an eco-friendly prize pack.*
John Hancock Annuities' web site recently received the highest rating from Corporate Insight's Annuity Monitor for its approach to the account information displays offered to clients on its web site, leading the top five annuity firms in providing easy access to account performance. The web site also was honored with multiple wins in the 2009 Annuity Monitor Awards. John Hancock Annuities was awarded more gold medals in 2009 than any other company and was the only firm to earn three consecutive gold Monitor Awards in two categories: Public Home Page Navigation and Client Account Information.
