Insurance Administrative Solutions Hires New Chief Marketing Officer
Largo, FL - November 12, 2009 – Insurance Administrative Solutions (IAS), one of the largest third party administration companies in the life and health insurance industry for Medicare Supplement, announced today that it has hired Victor Castellanos to the position of Chief Marketing Officer.
Mr. Castellanos has nearly 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having worked for two of the world’s leading reinsurance companies, and most recently as a managing general agent specializing in the senior market. In his new role with IAS, Mr. Castellanos will be responsible for the company’s strategic growth as a leading provider of third party administration solutions through its innovative, custom-built platforms.
“IAS has entered a new era with the hiring of Victor Castellanos,” said Randy Samples, President of IAS. “In the past, we have relied solely on referrals for our new business, so this is something new and exciting for us. Victor’s experience in the reinsurance business and the relationships he has built with industry leaders all across the country during his impressive career will assist with our plans to acquire new clients, grow our existing clients, and expand our product base.”
“As the newest member of the IAS management team, I have made it my personal mission to get the word out to the rest of the industry about how we can help companies improve their bottom line by using our outsourcing services,” said Mr. Castellanos. “We are truly a hidden treasure to the industry in the way we help companies do more with less.”
IAS administers all types of life and health products with particular emphasis on Medicare Supplements. The company has clients across the country, ranging from small to very large insurance entities.
Castellanos seeks to counter the perception that outsourcing leads to a loss of control. “Our structure provides our clients with all the necessary reporting and flexibility, so they can easily monitor their business while focusing their internal resources on growing their business,” continues Castellanos. “My experience in the industry helps me understand the many challenges that companies face when they try to do everything themselves without the proper staff, resources, and technology. We can provide those resources to our clients at a lower cost and without the large up-front capital investment.”
IAS has a proven track record of helping companies turn around unprofitable blocks of business, as well as servicing closed or orphan business. The company’s successful business model allows it to provide customized solutions to each client’s unique needs. Whether it’s from a compliance, IT, or accounting standpoint, the basic value proposition IAS offers insurance carriers is the ability to piggyback on its economies of scale.
