Imagine Software Expands Commitment to Asia-Pacific

New Offices, Staffing, and Software, Plus Event Appearances, Will Further Accelerate Growth

HONG KONG & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Imagine Software, a leading provider of real-time portfolio and risk management solutions worldwide, today announced several developments related to the company’s exceptional success in the Asia-Pacific financial community achieved during the last two years. The company has added new and expanded offices, seasoned bi-lingual professionals, and a radically improved software offering. It also has made a commitment to the financial community by means of expanded sponsorship of key industry conferences and seminars that promote the benefits of practical risk methodologies.

In the past year alone, according to Imagine’s CEO, Dr. Lance Smith, the company has grown its Asia-Pacific customer base by approximately 50 percent, including the signing of marquee clients such as China Merchants Securities, DTC Investment Management, and SBI Ven Capital.“Our work with some of the leading regional investment practitioners and hedge funds to understand their specific business needs has paid off handsomely, and we’re preparing for much more.”

The company’s new and larger offices in Sydney and Hong Kong, plus recent additions of highly experienced, Mandarin-speaking professionals, says Dr. Smith, “not only provide room for growth over the next several years and extend our ability to serve mainland China clients, but will aid in our efforts to educate risk practitioners and other financial professionals about the benefits of applying practical risk methodologies in their daily risk management process.”

The company’s recently introduced Imagine 7—a major upgrade of the firm’s ASP-based solution—achieves its objective of providing Asia-Pacific clients with class-leading real-time portfolio and risk management benefits via affordable cloud-based technologies. “Asia-Pacific businesses are bypassing an entire generation of conventional software and reaping immediate cost/performance benefits from the cloud,” said Dr. Smith.

In early March, the company sponsored TradeTech China in Shanghai, where Imagine’s Carson Bao moderated an executive panel on effective risk management practices. On March 15 and 23, Dr. Smith serves as the luncheon and dinner roundtable speaker, respectively, for Citi Prime Finance’s Thought Leadership Series. Imagine also will be co-sponsoring the annual AsiaHedge ForumMarch 16-17 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong. On March 23 in Singapore, Dr. Smith will be the sole speaker at a luncheon hosted by the Professional Risk Managers International Association’s (PRMIA) Singapore chapter, where he will discuss advanced risk management techniques appropriate for use by a wide range of today’s risk professionals.

All of these activities, Dr. Smith concludes, “will enable further penetration of this exciting market by building upon the solid foundation we’ve established in Asia and help us achieve our goal of becoming the leading provider of risk solutions in the region.”
