Esri: Understanding Our World

Geospatial technologies (geographic information systems [GIS], global positioning systems [GPS], remote sensing [RS], and virtual globes and Web mapping) are now mainstream. They are changing how we understand and interact with our world. People see and use the power of maps to guide many everyday choices, as well as vital social, economic, and environmental decisions from community to global scale. Even tech-nervous people use Web-based maps, GPS navigation, and location-aware phones. The presence of these dynamic maps will continue spread, including into hundreds of careers.

Esri is the world leader in GIS. GIS and geographic inquiry methods are changing classrooms—instructional technology, academic subjects (like science, geography, and math), and CTE programs—and helping develop college- and career-ready students. Likewise, the same tools and approaches provide essential aid to school administrators and educational policy leaders.

AVerMedia launches the second generation AVerPen, a ground-breaking slate alternative that gives you the features of a slate without the bulky board or the hefty price tag, at ISTE 2011 in booth 616. The mobility of a slate, the comfort of a new ergonomic design, the convenience of writing from any surface and a $199 MSRP makes the AVerPen the ultimate in mobile curriculum control.

Also showing is our new W30, the only wireless document camera in the world that can receive and transmit at 30fps. Educators can also use our new AVerVision Flash App to directly integrate any AVerMedia document camera into any Interactive white board and lesson-planning software with Flash.

Finally, come take a virtual trip to a very special location with our new H.323 HD video conferencing solution. At 1/4 the cost of typical room-based solutions, the AVerComm H310 is definitely worth the trip.
