IBEX Global Rolls Out Its HIPAAHITECH Compliance to Address Healthcare Reform

As an answer to the activity created by healthcare reform and the Affordable Care Act, IBEX Global announced, its HIPAAHITECH Compliance to address the growing need for its services.

According to a release, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule is the first comprehensive Federal protection for the privacy of personal health information. The HIPAA Privacy Rule provides federal protections for individually identifiable health information held by covered entities and their business associates and gives patients an array of rights with respect to that information. At the same time, the Privacy Rule is balanced so that it permits the disclosure of health information needed for patient care and other important purposes.
The Security Rule requiring compliance specifies a series of administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for covered entities and their business associates to use to assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic protected health information. The compliance with HIPAA's stringent standards complements IBEX's historical investments in maintaining PCI compliance across its global contact center footprint.
