Houston-based Nationwide Agency, Iscential, to Display NASCAR Show Car at University of Houston on Halloween

PR Web

Houston, Texas (PRWEB) October 28, 2012

As part of its sponsorship of the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Nationwide Insurance is bringing the high-speed action to its local agents. Area Nationwide Insurance agency, Iscential will host the NASCAR Nationwide Series show car at the University of Houston on Wednesday, October 31. The interactive event will provide guests the opportunity to see the excitement of NASCAR first hand.

In planning this event, Iscential has another motive as well: giving back to the University.

“We are very involved with the University’s C. T. Bauer College of Business, and we wanted to find another way to give back,” states Iscential CEO Warren Barhorst. “We’re contributing $5 for each Facebook ‘like’ to a scholarship for the students.”

The firm has pledged to donate $5 for each Facebook “like” to the Dean’s Scholarship Fund. The total will be tracked for 48 hours after the event to encourage students to spread the word, increase the “likes”, and gain the most money for this scholarship.

Iscential is also teaming up with local restaurant, Backyard Grill, to serve up hamburgers for its guests.

“We’re heading out to host a fun event for the students and faculty and gain awareness of our agency and the services we and Nationwide provide,” says Barhorst. “Plus, it’s Halloween… so we might have some other surprises as well.”

The official show car of the NASCAR Nationwide Series will be on display as part of Nationwide’s local market activation program with its agents. Guests will have the opportunity to see a real NASCAR stock car first-hand. Guests can take a spin around the track in the Nationwide racing simulator and grab lunch and a NASCAR giveaway.

The UH pit stop will be at the following location:
