Health Management Associates Selects Convergent Revenue Cycle Management [Health & Beauty Close – Up]

Convergent Revenue Cycle Management, Inc., a provider of healthcare revenue cycle management and patient access solutions, announced the implementation of its PatientQuest program for healthcare provider Health Management Associates, Inc.

In a release, the Company noted that the program is designed to streamline the pre-arrival patient access process, enhance the patient experience and reimbursement rates by reducing third-party insurance denials and increasing point-of-service cash collections. The PatientQuest program for Health Management includes direct communication and customer service with patients regarding scheduling, pre-registration, benefits verification, co-payment collections, self-pay deposits, patient financial clearance and estimated patient responsibility, medical billing education, insurance verification and referral of patients to financial counselors.

Not only will Health Management experience more payments at point-of- service, expedited patient registration and a reduction in missed appointments, but insurance denials and bad debt will decrease with an improved level of patient satisfaction.
