Guardian Life Promotes Kevin Benjamin to Vice President, Career Agency Distribution

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian) today announced the promotion of Kevin Benjamin to Vice President, Career Agency Distribution effective April 1, 2012. In addition to his current responsibilities, Mr. Benjamin will now lead the General Agency Regional Vice Presidents, Financial Representative Recruiting, Training and Middle Management teams. Mr. Benjamin will continue to report to Don Sullivan, Senior Vice President and Head of Agency Distribution, and Park Avenue Securities.

Mr. Benjamin joined Guardian in 2009 as Field Vice President to lead the New Agency Recruiting and Integration Team. In 39 months his team recruited 31 agency managers, improved numerous systems, and led new agencies to record levels of recruiting and production success.

Since beginning his career with Minnesota Mutual Life in 1991 Mr. Benjamin has cultivated an exceptional track record in field distribution, agency recruitment and the improvement of people development systems. At MassMutual, where he worked immediately before joining Guardian, his passion for building field distribution led to record recruiting results. He is credited with rebuilding the Ameriprise Financial Maple Grove, MN office and was a recognized leader at the company for advisor retention and insurance sales. Additionally, he worked a number of years at Principal Financial Group where he built the Life Wholesale brokerage and National Sales Desk functions that supported all Individual and Group distribution channels.
